Guru Pembelajar Sukma (GPS)
The “A school that learns” slogan derived from Peter Senge is an idea that the school must always learn. No wonder the student’s duty is to study hard, but here “Sukma Bangsa School”, the same thing is also required against his teachers. This is in line with what Munif Chatib once said: 2015 in his Schoolbook of Man “A superior school that embraces the concept of” the best process “can succeed if supported by professional teacher quality. Being a professional teacher means being a teacher who never stops learning. The greatest and most valuable assets in a school are qualified teachers. “
This is what we did in Sukma Bangsa school from last year. Activities that call the GPS (Guru Pembelajar Sukma); a group of teacher learners that consists of two sessions to fill a routine activity on Saturday. The combination of these teachers tried to dissect books that aimed to read by digging up the knowledge of the books, as well as connecting with everyday experience in the process of teaching and learning in the classroom. Indeed, it would be difficult to take the time to read a book by itself if it consists of 8 chapters for example, but if the eight chapters of the book are divided into 8 people and present the contents of the book in turn to all members of the study, the eight chapters of this book will feel light to read . Moreover, in this activity we do not need to race against time, meaning not targeting if it should finish the entire contents of the book at a time. Here we try to understand the reading and satisfy curiosity by discussing each other.
The first book that became our object of imprisonment, the book written by St. Kartono “Be a Teacher to My Students”. The content of the book outlines the educators who dive into this book with a pedagogical expression that “the student is more likely to remember what his teacher does than he teaches.” Also he rectifies various misconduct in our education system through his writing. Indeed not all teachers can participate in this GPS activity, but every Friday there are other activities that have become a tradition in Sukma school, that is Morning Hope. In this morning hope activity all teachers gather and there will be one speaker who will tell the contents of the reading to all teachers, so that all can get the same information at one time. This is what we do in turn. If anyone can not fill the session, personally have to find a replacement to keep this activity going. The question is, have we facilitated the same book of teachers here? The answer, no. We share this book with a photocopy of the section we will be surgical and present.
Sukma Bangsa School Statute becomes the second book that we will try next. Having experienced compositions of first prints and time flies is also worth considering and further consideration of this book, as the effect of this time flies is that many new teachers replace old teachers, so the need to dissect this book is a priority. The experience of some old teachers will be their legacy to the new teachers joining this school. More about the importance of refreshing our memories of this magnificent school in Aceh since July 14, 2006. The techniques are still the same, but quite different in the preparation of their study members. In each study team there were several members of management (directors and principals of elementary, junior high, and SMA) who will mediate in this discussion. The comparisons contained in the statutes with the facts practiced in the field are the subject of each meeting.
